PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging system in which business efficiency is enhanced without using any server. SOLUTION: If any one of printers 3-6 is in unprintable state when print operation is required, each host 1, 2 transmits preformed print data to other preregistered printer. When each printer 3-6 is reset to printable state, other printer is informed to this effect. When print data is received from the host 1 or 2 and that data must be transmitted to other printer, it is accumulated temporarily in a storage. When printable state is informed from other printer, print data stored in the storage is transmitted to the printable printer.
