The present invention relates to an insolation shield ( 3 ) which is arranged to be placed in connection with a building ( 1 ) to suppress solar radiation incident on the building. The insolation shield ( 3 ) comprises at least one shield element ( 8 ). At least one shield element ( 8 ) of the insolation shield ( 3 ) comprises at least one solar energy converter ( 4 ) to conduct incident solar energy to a target of consumption and/or storage.
