PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a material for a plasma display panel, less prone to cause yellowing by the reaction thereof with an Ag electrode, and suitable for forming a dielectric layer. SOLUTION: This material for a plasma display panel, containing a glass powder as a constituent component, and usable for formation of a dielectric layer for the plasma display panel contains the glass powder having a composition of 2-45% BaO+CaO+Bi2O3, 0-45% ZnO, 10-40% B2O3, 1-15% SiO2, 0-50% PbO and 0.01-10% SnO2 expressed in terms of weight percentage. |
