<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable changeover of recording by a single color and multiple colors by a single thermal head, and enable efficient output in a single color. SOLUTION: A platen 40, a feeding means for feeding a recording paper along the surface thereof, a carriage 50 reciprocally movable in the direction orthogonal to the feeding direction of a recording paper 31P, a large number of heat generators arranged along one axial direction, and ink ribbon 70 of a plurality of colors including at least a black ink ribbon mounted on the carriage, disposed between a thermally sensitive head 60 and the recording paper 31P are provided. Whether image data are monochromatic image data or multi- color image data is judged so that the heat generators are operated for output according thereto.</p> |
