PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane mounting structure and a membrane mounting method for roofing a large-span roof with a membrane. SOLUTION: A membrane attaching member 10 which is supported through a rope- like edge on both side edges of a membrane and provided with a groove of C-shaped section for attaching the membrane to pull out the membrane 5 in the horizontal direction on both sides is arranged in an inclined direction of a roof. The rope-like edge provided on both side edges of the membrane 5 are supported through the groove for attaching the membrane of the membrane attaching member 10. A rope-like edge is provided in the longitudinal direction at an approximately intermediate position in the width direction of the membrane 5. A membrane pulling member 25 which can be supported through the rope-like edge at the intermediate position and equipped with the membrane attaching groove of upwardly C-shaped section to pull out the membrane 5 in the upward direction is arranged in the inclined direction of the roof.
