PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lateral cylindrical arm for easily enabling lateral cylinder sewing in two lines of stitches by setting length of an arm of a sewing machine to be roughly twice that of conventional ones, and providing two needles in parallel. SOLUTION: An arm core base B of a roughly similar length to that of an arm core base A is connected and fixed to the arm core base A by long screws to form a long arm 1, inward claws on a lower cover 3 having a semicircular cross section are engaged in grooves provided along length on both sides of the long arm 1, claws 8, 8 on an upper cover 6 are engaged with grooves 7, 7 bored on both sides of an upper surface of the long arm 1, a bobbin yarn drive unit is embedded roughly at a center of the long arm 1, and two needles 10 are provided to face an upper part of the drive unit.
