PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm auxiliary data related to an input position without moving eyes from a cursor in inputting a punching point and to facilitate inputting work of fine precision. SOLUTION: As a punching key is put on (S1), addresses for disposition of punching points are prepared in a RAM (S2). As a first point is punched (S4), information of its coordinates is stored in the punching point disposition (S7). When a cursor is stopped (S9) at the second point and on, XY coordinates of a position of the cursor, distance from the previous punching point, and an angle of a line connecting both points to each other to an X-axis are determined (S11) to be displayed close to the cursor on an image surface (S12). As a certain punching point is selected (S13), position information for the point is stored in the punching point disposition (S16). Moving the cursor and selecting the punching point are repeated till a punching key is put off (S18).
