PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable toilet wherein the user can clean his body under a sitting state on the toilet seat when a sick person or an aged person who cannot support his body by himself has finished a bowel movement. SOLUTION: At the upper section on the left side surface of a toilet body 11, which is a lower location than a toilet seat 66, a square insertion port 12, which is a hole having a size through which hand can be inserted to the inside of the toilet body 11, is formed. Along the internal wall at a location being slightly lower than the lower end of the insertion port 12 on the toilet body 11, a plate-form supporting section 13 to support an excreta housing container 14 to house discharged excreta is formed. The excreta housing container 14 is supported by engaging a flange section 15 disposed on the upper end peripheral edge of the excreta housing container 14, with the supporting section 13.
