PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an insect pest repelling apparatus capable of delivering an electric shock to termites which are going to enter a house with the minimum energy by installing an electrode of cathode or anode on the whole periphery of short columns supporting a floor board under the floor and arranging the other electrode on the ground in the vicinity of the short columns supporting the floor board. SOLUTION: This apparatus comprises a battery 1 to become an electric source, a converter 2 for raising the voltage of the battery 1, an intermittently discharging means 4 for intermittently discharging the output voltage of the converter 2 and plural electrodes 5A to 5D for discharge and is equipped with an electrode of cathode or anode on the whole periphery of short columns supporting a floor board under the floor and the other electrode on the ground in the vicinity of the short columns supporting the floor board. Preferably an electrode of cathode or anode is arranged on the whole periphery of an outer wall under the floor and the other plural electrodes are installed on the ground. The apparatus is equipped with an open air temperature detecting means and a comparing and judging means and preferably carries out the on-off control of the electric source of the apparatus by comparing the output of the open air temperature detecting means with a fixed value and judging the result.
