PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throating hardly deteriorating a base strength and also capable of suitably coping with the use in cold region. SOLUTION: This throating 1 comprises a first vertical piece 1a fixed along a building, an extended piece 1b bent in the direction opposite to the building at an angle of 90 deg. or less, a second vertical piece 1c bent from the tip edge of the extended piece 1b in the direction opposite to the first vertical piece 1a, an insecticidal plate 2 comprising a ventilating hole 2b having one edge side thereof fixed to the second vertical piece 1c with the other edge side facing the direction of the building, and a closing plate 3 allowing the ventilating hole 2b in the insecticidal plate 2 to be opened and closed.
