PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening structure for an athletic shoe allowing the shoe sufficiently fit for the heel of a foot. SOLUTION: This fastening structure is used to make the heel section 33 of an athletic shoe fit for a foot F. The fastening structure is provided with a first fastening member 5 formed with a loop-shaped nonexpansible material and arranged to pass through a path including both side faces of the foot F, the back face of the heel, and the heel of the sole or the vicinity of the rear end section of the plantar arch, insertion holes 51, 52 formed on an upper to arrange the first fastening member 5 in this path, and a second fastening member 6 pulling the first fastening member 5 toward the center of the vamp of the foot F from both side faces of the foot F to exert the fastening force of the first fastening member 5 and making the heel section 33 of the upper fit for the foot F.
