PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a container whose heat insulating property is improved and which is not bulky and is suitable for carrying by providing a plurality of protrusions or recesses on a body of a bottle and covering at least the body with a heat insulating sheet. SOLUTION: The drinking water container 1 roughly comprises a bottle 2, a heat insulating sheet 3 and a cap 4, wherein the bottle 2 is made of a light-weighted and highly moldable thermoplastic resin. Protrusions 21 of recesses 22 are provided on a surface of the bottle 2, thereby forming an air region 25 between the bottle 2 and the heat insulating sheet 3. Thus with the cooled or heated drinking water container 1 containing a drinking water 5, the drinking water 5 is difficult to restore to a normal temperature even if it is carried since air closed in the air region 25 assists heat insulating effects. As a result, a temperature of the drinking water 5 is not easily affected by an ambient temperature even if the container filled with the drinking water 5 is being carried for a long time. Thus the container is convenient and not bulky, and can be easily carried.
