PURPOSE: An apparatus for cutting off a power source of a vehicle is provided to prevent a fire generation due to a short of a battery power source when colliding of the vehicle by cutting off the power source of the battery. CONSTITUTION: A collision sensor(20) and a power source cut off device(10) are installed to an inside of the vehicle. If the vehicle collides, the collision sensor(20) sense a collision of the vehicle, and the power source cut off device(10) is activated and a power source is cut off automatically. The power source cut off device cuts off a part of a main cable supplying the power source to the vehicle. A switch(11) is formed to an end of the main cable and is turned on/off by a solenoid(12). The collision sensor(20) supply the power source toward the solenoid(12) when normal running of the vehicle, and cuts off the power source when colliding of the vehicle.
