PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a histamine liberation suppressing agent safely applicable to the skin and having high histamine liberation suppressing action. SOLUTION: Extract of leaf of Lagerstroemia speciosa, wood of Quercus phillyraeoides, bark of a plant of the genus Acacia, duramen of Schinopsis spp., Ficus pumila, fruit of Eleagnus angustifolia L., twig of Tamarix chinensis Lour and seed of Trapa natans L. has strong histamine liberation suppressing action and is useful as a histamine liberation suppressing agent effective for inflammation. It is also useful as an antihistamic agent to be formulated to cosmetics and pharmaceuticals or to dentifrice or mouth drug for preventing periodontitis. |
