PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer even a small housed object in a simple manner by providing at least one of a pair of heat insulating plates to be a vacuum insulation plate with a core covered with a casing made of a gas barrier film and by providing a housing for housing on one or both of the heat insulating plates. SOLUTION: The heat insulating container 1 comprises a core 2, a casing 3 for covering the core 2, a coupling 4 and a housing 5. The casing 3 comprises, on one of surfaces, a polyethylene terephthalate as a surface protection layer, an aluminum foil as an intermediate portion and a laminate film as a heat seal layer, and on the other surface, a polyethylene terephthalate as the surface protection layer, a film layer with aluminum vapor-deposited inside an ethylene- vinyl alcohol copolymer resin composition as the intermediate portion, and a laminate film made of a high density polyethylene as the heat seal layer. The whole housing 5 for housing an object 6 to be cold-insulated is covered with a vacuum heat insulator with high heat insulation performance. Thus transportion efficiency can be improved by reduction in size.
