PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a fishhook swallowed by a fish to be readily pulled out, and prevent the fishhook from being stuck again on another position when taking out the pulled out fishhook. SOLUTION: This tool for detaching a fishhook has a hollow pipe 2 to be inserted into the mouth of a fish along a leader S, for introducing the shank part HB of a fishhook H thereinto, and having an aslant cut tip, and an extendable bent part 4 at the tip part of the hollow pipe 2. When the shank part HB of the fishhook H is introduced into the inside of the hollow pipe 2, the fishhook H bent from the shank part HB to the point HT is guided by the tip of the hollow pipe 2 formed into a slant state to change the direction of the point HT. As a result, the direction of the point HT of the fishhook H in a hidden state, because the fishhook is stuck in the deep inside of the mouth of the fish, is specified, and the point HT of the fishhook H is hidden in the shadow of the bent part 4.
