PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-priced device which is capable of carrying a platelike member into and out of a specified position at a fabricating device without a conveyance means under a simple construction and can be easily serviced for maintenance and control. SOLUTION: This device conveys an undried veneer 11a by means of carrying-in rolls 7, 7a, 6, 6a to bring it into contact with a regulating member 12 so as to locate the veneer 11a and rotates the regulating member 12 in an arrow direction to retreat it from a carrying path. Further, the device conveys the undried veneer 11a by the carrying-in rolls 7, 7a, 6, 6a, 5, 5a for a specified time since the retreat and stops the veneer 11a. Thus the upstream side end part of the preceding undried veneer 11 in the conveying direction is pushed by the downstream side end part of the undried veneer 11a in the conveying direction to carry the preceding undried veneer 11 into a specified position between the hot plates 1, 3 of a fabricating device.
