FLAVOR-IMPROVING AGENT AND TABLET CANDY-LIKE COMPOSITION USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flavor-improving agent which can simply and effectively mask such the characteristic irritating taste of a xylitol-containing sugar alcohol as burning throats, and to provide a tablet candy-like composition using the same. SOLUTION: This flavor-improving agent for sugar alcohols containing xylitol or for compositions containing the sugar alcohols containing xylitol contains allyl hexanoate. The tablet candy-like composition consists mainly of an amorphous saccharide and a sugar alcohol containing xylitol. Therein, the tablet candy-like composition contains the flavor-improving agent containing allyl hexanoate.
