PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easily getting on or off from a side part provided with a side hood. SOLUTION: This battery type forklift truck 1 stores a battery case 2 within a vehicular body 10, and arranges a side hood 3 covering a side surface 21 of the battery case 2 on a side part of the vehicular body 10. A boxy step portion 4 having an opening surface 41 on the side portion is provided on the side hood 3 so as to protrude to the inside of the vehicular body 10, and a recess part 22 is formed on the side surface 21 of the battery case 2. The step portion 4 is disposed in the recess part 22.
