AMORPHOUS CEFUROXIME AXETILE SOLID DISPERSION, ITS PRODUCTION AND ITS COMPOSITION FOR ORAL ADMINISTRATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject dispersion having improved bioavailability and stability and useful as a composition for oral administration by including cefuroxime axetile, a surfactant and a water-insoluble inorganic substance carrier. SOLUTION: This dispersion is obtained by including (A) cefuroxime axetile, (B) a surfactant which is preferably a polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene block copolymer or the like and (C) a water-insoluble inorganic substance carrier which is preferably silicon dioxide. The amounts of the contained ingredients based on 100 pts.wt. of the ingredient A are preferably 1-50 pts.wt. of the ingredient B and 1-200 pts.wt. of the ingredient C. Furthermore, a water-insoluble additive such as a microcrystalline cellulose in an amount of <=100 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the ingredient A is preferably contained in the dispersion.
