PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having an excellent separation resistance in carcass fold back part and an excellent wandering resistance. SOLUTION: In this pneumatic tire, either bead part or side wall part has a reinforcing cord layer 8 which covers a carcass fold back part end of maximum height from inward to outward in the radial direction of the tire and extends in the circumferential direction of the tire, the reinforcing cord layer 8 consists of either rubber coated spirally wound layer of more than one continuous cords or rubber coated separated wound layer of multiple cords, and the cord of the reinforcing cord layer 8 is at an inclination angle of from 80 to 100 deg. when measured in the same direction as the radial direction of the tire.
