PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a shaft-form rotary cutting tool capable of simplifying the supporting structure of an electrode for electric discharge machining. SOLUTION: At the time of electric discharge machining, the flank of each tip 53 is ground while an end mill 50 as a work to be processed moves or rotates on the periphery of an electrode rod 10 set in (fixed to) the specified position, so that it is not required for a pedestal 12 to support the electrode rod 10 to have any special shape equipped with a shank nor to provide any member to heighten the rigidity of the join between the pedestal 12 and shank, and it is practicable to simplify the supporting structure of the electrode rod 10.
