PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic safe to the skin and containing an effective active ingredient required for a cosmetic. SOLUTION: This cosmetic is obtained by formulating the extract of the whole plant of Conyza filaginoides. The Conyza filaginoides is a Mexican plant of the aster family, and can be utilized as a crude medicine. The cosmetic is effective in bleaching, prevention of skin chapping, improvement of gloss, dullness and tenseness of the skin by exhibiting the effects of antioxidant activities and bleaching activities.
