PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a cutting method for a corrugated cardboard box capable of cutting without producing cutting chips and with no risk of damaging the object stored and maintaining long the sharpness in cutting of the blade. SOLUTION: A corrugated cardboard box is cut by cutter blades 7 and 8 in stellate form substantially having sharp cutting edges 7a and 8a and arranged rotatably. According to this cutting method, the cutting edges 7a and 8a are plunged to the corner 21a of one side face 22 of the box at a certain inclining angleθso that their forefront parts 70 and 80 do not reach the other side face 23 and relative movement is made from one end to the other of one side face of the box while the blades 7 and 8 are rotated in the located condition.
