PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To modify a dwelling unit division without lowering earthquake resistant strength by making a part of an individual wall an earthquake resistant wall, and making the remaining part a dry wall. SOLUTION: In a mid-to-low-rise multiple dwelling house of in which a main structure is made of reinforced concrete or steel frame reinforced concrete, the substantial half of the width direction (a direction orthogonal to a ridge direction P) of each dwelling wall partitioning each dwelling unit is made an earthquake resistant wall 3 made of the reinforced concrete or the steel frame concrete, and alternately arranged on the side of a gallery 7 and the side of a veranda 8. In addition, the remaining part burdens strength on strength design, and is made a dry wall 4 composed of a wall panel, ALC board and the like by sticking a face material on a panel frame. A part except for the earthquake resistant wall 3 out of a building main body may be made of a steel frame. Furthermore, columns 5 are provided on both the sides of each earthquake resistant wall 3, and the combination of the earthquake resistant wall and the column is constituted. Thereby a plurality of adjacent dwelling units can be easily modified in one dwelling unit without lowering the earthquake resistant strength by removing the dry wall 4.
