PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mask for lamination shaping which dispenses with the use of a support arm and enhances the productivity of the mask and further, contributes to reduction of the manufacturing cost of the mask. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing a mask for lamination shaping is to manufacture the mask, for lamination shaping, to be used for lamination shaping, when a three-dimensional shaped article is shaped by laminating a plurality of cured layers obtained by irraditing a granule-spread layer with a curing light from an emission source through the mask after interposing the mask between the granule-spread layer and the emission source for emitting the curing light. In addition, a substrate 4 having the transmissibility of the curing light and a coating material with light shielding properties which inhibits the transmission of the curing light are used to draw the coating material with the light shielding properties on the surface-exposed face 42 of the substrate 4 and thus a light shielding coating film 60 is laminated to obtain a mask part 61.
