PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for rendering a dry distillation discharge gas a dry distillation fuel capable of rendering the dry distillation discharge gas smokeless and effecting fuel savings of a boiler by returning combustible components such as carbonaceous components and a carbon monoxide gas constituting the smoke to be discharged from a dry distillation furnace to the fire hole to enables effective utilization of them as the combustion gas necessary for the dry distillation, and its equipment. SOLUTION: A method for rendering a dry distillation furnace discharge gas a dry distillation fuel comprises cleaning gases discharged from a distillation furnace 1 to form smoke and a gas having combustible components such as carbonaceous components and a carbon monoxide gas and then refluxing and releasing them into the dry distillation furnace 1. Equipment is constituted by a dry distillation furnace 1, a kerosine boiler fixed at the furnace door side of this dry distillation furnace 1, a cleaning means for cleaning the smoke and gases to be discharged from the dry distillation furnace 1 through a separation pipe to form a combustible gas, and a means for refluxing and releasing the cleaned gas into a combustion chamber within the dry distillation furnace by an aspirator such as an air blower.
