PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set right and left forces required for separating a joint portion substantially similarly, by forming a specific joint pattern in which recesses by melting are intermittently arranged in joint portions of both side edges, in a product by pressing a heat seal in both side edges with thermal medium blocks. SOLUTION: This pants-type disposable diaper comprises a material that interposes an absorber between a liquid permeable top sheet and a liquid impermeable back sheet, has a pair of openings 2 around legs and an opening 3 around a waits, and includes expansion elastic members 8, 7 arranged along respective openings. In this case, joint portions in both side edges are formed in a joint pattern in which recesses (fusion blocks) 9 by thermal melting are intermittently arranged longitudinally of this diaper. This joint pattern is formed in a form in which cross section vertical to a progressing direction of recesses by thermal melting gradually increases from the front side to the rear part in the progressing direction of a continuous sheet matching to the width direction of both side edges.
