PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make parts multi-functional and manufacture a high-function dashboard with a small number of part items at a low cost by providing upper and lower support plates on a cockpit, and connecting both support plates together to form a ventilation pipe serving as an air duct. SOLUTION: The dashboard type cockpit of this automobile comprises an upper support block 1, a lower support block 3, and a vibration preventing gate type support member 5, and the upper and lower support blocks 1, 3 are supplemented by a third support block 7. A semi-ventilation pipe 9 opened downward is formed in the upper support block 1, and it forms an air duct for the air conditioner air together with the semi-ventilation pipe 19 of the lower support block 3. A vent hole 13 is formed on the upper semi-ventilation pipe 9, and a vent hole 15 is formed on the lower semi-ventilation pipe 19. A second semi-ventilation pipe 21 is provided on the lower support block 3, and an inlet 23 for defrosting a windshield is formed on the second semi- ventilation pipe 21.
