CARBON BLACK FOR VIBRATION-PROOFING RUBBER AND VIBRATION-PROOFING RUBBER COMPOSITION COMPOUNDED THEREWITH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain carbon black suitable for use in vibration-proofing rubbers, and to obtain a rubber composition low in dynamic magnification per given static modulus, therefore excellent in vibration-proofing performance by compounding the above carbon black. SOLUTION: This carbon black has a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area (N2SA) of 14-23 m2/g and integrated particle hardness(IPH) of >=9 cN and satisfies the following relationship for its DBP oil absorption (mL/100 g): DBP>=13×N2SA-171. The other objective vibration-proofing rubber composition is obtained by compounding 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component with 10-200 pts.wt. of the above carbon black.
