PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for recording having excellent similarity to the product by a real printer by shortening a required output time of a recording material by thermal transfer recording using a laser beam. SOLUTION: Thermal transfer recording is conducted by bringing a transfer sheet 1 obtained by sequentially laminating a photothermal conversion layer 11 containing at least a near infrared absorbing material and a binder resin as main bodies and a thermal transfer ink layer 12 in this order on a base material 10 into contact with an image receiving sheet 2 by opposing a thermal transfer ink layer 12 to an image receiving surface of the sheet 2, preheating it, then laser exposing it, transferring the layer 12 to the receiving surface in an image-like state, and further retransferring the layer 12 on a transfer medium 9 by heating. Accordingly, a required output time of a recorded material is shortened by preheating, then preheating the sheet 1 and the sheet 2 so that the layer 12 can be easily transferred to the sheet 2, and then laser recording it. |
