PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily fix a child seat to a seat even if the length of a seat belt is long by providing a holding means for holding a folding-up part fixed to a body in a position separated from an inserting port. SOLUTION: This length shortening device is composed of a body 10 formed by bending a belt-shaped plate-like body in a U shape, holes 11a, 11b being respectively formed in bending sleeve pieces 10a, 10b of this body 10 and forming a line, a slit 12 being formed in an intermediate part 10c of the body 10, extending in the lengthwise direction and having the length corresponding to a width of a seat belt and a pin 13 inserted into the holes 11a, 11b. When using, a seat belt part adjacent to a buckle is folded up in a state of removing the pin 13 from the body 10, this folding-up part is inserted into the body 10 from the slit 12 of the body 10 to be extended along the sleeve pieces 10a, 10b of the body 10, and the pin 13 is inserted into a bending part of the seat belt via the holes 11a, 11b of the sleeve pieces 10a, 10b. |
