<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly switch driving force control and engine brake control by determining the engine output instruction value for the engine brake control in response to the presence or absence of the depression of an accelerator pedal, and calculating a gear change ratio instruction value based on an engine revolving speed instruction value and a vehicle speed. SOLUTION: The engine output instruction value Lacc for a normal travel is calculated based on the detection signals of a vehicle speed detecting means 7 and an accelerator detecting means 8, and the engine revolving speed instruction value Nerb for engine brake control is calculated. When the depression of an accelerator pedal is not detected, an engine output instruction value Leb is calculated based on the engine brake characteristic and engine revolving speed instruction value Nerb. When the depression of the accelerator pedal is detected, the engine output instruction value Lacc is determined as the final engine output instruction value L. If this instruction value L is a positive value, the engine revolving speed instruction value is determined based on the final fuel consumption operation characteristic and final engine output instruction value L, and a gear shift instruction value is calculated based on the engine revolving speed instruction value and vehicle speed.</p> |
