PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel construction method for constructing a structure such as an emergency water tank, water reservoir, a water storage dam, etc., and further a basement, an underground storage house, etc., in the underground. SOLUTION: A target part, for excavation is divided into a required number of sections. After one divided section is excavated and a structure U forming a space is installed, the next adjacent section is excavated and a structure U forming a space is installed. This work is repeated in a phased manner. The excavated soil resulting from excavation is piled one after another on the structure U for forming a space formed in the precedent phase.
