PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil improvement device with an agitating means capable of efficiently agitating and mixing a solidifying material liquid and excavated materials in an excavated pit uniformly and excellently in a short time. SOLUTION: The soil improvement device is composed of a hollow rod 1 in which an excavation head 2 is installed at a front end and an agitating means 3 is mounted at the rear of the head 2, a rotary driving device 4 rotating and driving the hollow rod 1, a supporter 6 supporting the rotary driving device 4 in a freely vertically movable manner and a means 7 supplying the hollow rod 1 with a solidifying material liquid. The agitating means 3 is supported in a hanging manner in midair so as to form an opening between the means 3 and the hollow rod 1 by a supporting material to the hollow rod 1 and comprises a spiral body 12 disposed concentrically and spirally so as to surround the hollow rod 1 at that time in the soil improvement device.
