PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide catheter with a high safety that prevents its slip-off from inserted region, excels in operability and keeps tissues from damages and others. SOLUTION: The catheter 1 consists of a catheter body 2 composed of a flexible tube and a hub 8 attached to a catheter body 2 and the base end of the catheter body 2. The catheter body 2 has a linear part 3 and a spiral part 4, and a lumen 5 has been formed in their interior. The spiral part 4 has formed spiral shape, namely having the first loop 41 and the second loop 42, in the state without external force applied, whereas it forms a nearly straight line in the state that a core material has been inserted into the lumen 5 up to its tip end. And the spiral part 4 restores to its original shape when the core material is pulled out from the lumen 5. A side hole 6 communicating with the lumen 5 has been formed on inner circumferential side of the spiral of the spiral part 4. |
