PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hanging type sliding door device to remodel a swing type door into a hanging type sliding door without removing a furniture frame or expanding an opening part. SOLUTION: This hanging type sliding door device comprises a hanging rail 1 mounted on a frame at an upper end of an opening part of a building or a wall surface, a door side rail mounted on an upper end of a sliding door D, and a slider 3 provided with a roller device 4 for hanging rails and a roller device 5 for door side rail rolling in both rails, the slider 3 is kept in a horizontal condition by the roller devices 4 for hanging rails provided on at least two places, and moved in the right-to-left direction, and one end thereof is projected by the distance of 1/2 equal to the length of the hanging rails 1 from an end part of the hanging rails 1, and the sliding door D is kept in a horizontal condition by the roller device 5 for the door side rail provided on at least two places, and moved in the right-to-left direction by the distance equal to 1/2 length of the hanging rails 1.
