PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground compacting method and its device, by which high drainage efficiency is obtained by efficiently vibrating a ground without deteriorating vibration transmissibility and water containing soil and sand can be carried out effectively by the small consumption of the device. SOLUTION: A vibrator supporting rod 10, in which a vibrator 11 for compacting a ground is held to a lower end section, is inserted into the ground, and the ground is vibrated by operating a vibration compactor. When excess pore water generated by the vibrations is drained through a drain pipe arranged along the supporting rod 10, a water absorption chamber 10 into which excess pore water can flow is installed to the supporting rod 10, the inside of the chamber 16 is decompressed and excess pore water is flowed into the water absorption chamber 16, and stored water is discharged by decompressing the inside of the drain pipe 20 while introducing atmospheric air to the lower section of the drain pipe.
