PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve appearance such as transparency or see-through by forming a multi-layer container of a saponification product of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer which meets specific conditions, and containing to a specified content one kind selected from among an alkaline metal, an alkaline earth metal and boron. SOLUTION: The multi-layer container is made up of EVOH (a saponification product of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer) obtained by copolymerizing ethylene unsaturated monomers such as olefins, e.g. propylene, 1-butene and isobutene and unsaturated acids e.g. acrylic acid and methacrylic acid, to the satisfaction of conditions: 200-1.5×Et<=Tm<=225-1.5×Et. In addition, the container contains 10-10,000 ppm one kind selected from among an alkaline metal, an alkaline earth metal and boron. In the formula, Tm is a fusion peak temperature ( deg.C) measured by a differential scanning calorimeter for EVOH and Et is the content (molar %) of ethylene of EVOH.
