PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book holder, which is not so bulky as the conventional book band, not making a hindrance, compact and excellent in a holding capacity and with which a book is held in a file. SOLUTION: File fitting holes 2 are provided in a main body 1 and further a holes 3, through which a book passes, is provided. In order to use the book holder, the book under an open state is passed through the hole 3 for passing the book therethrough and brought down to the position of the back cover of the book and close the book, resulting in pinching the main body 1 in the book. Thus, the book is fixed to the file by means of the file fitting holes.
