PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly increase the mechanical strength of a wood board by stacking pulp sheets which are mixed and impregnated with lignin through the lignin into an inter laminated structure of layers of different hardness and thereby, binding the pulps together with the help of the lignin as a binder. SOLUTION: The wood board 1 is manufactured by stacking two kinds of pulps, that is, a first pulp 2 and a second pulp 3 into a spiral form. The pulps 2, 3 are of a tabular shape obtained by melting waste paper into sheetlike forms, and the first pulp 2 is impregnated with lignin which is an amorphous polymer substance which exists as a fascicular cellulous wall component of wood or ligneous vegetable. The first pulp 2 shows high hydrophobic properties as the fibers are enveloped by the lignin so that the mechanical strength of the pulp 2 is high. Further, both pulps 2, 3 are bound only by the lignin without depending upon an adhesive or the like and therefore, the pulps 2, 3 are decomposed into the fibers and the lignin when the wood board 1 is discarded and the fibers can be reused.
