PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for providing the effect of preventing cold by reducing the influence on a human body (particularly nose, throat and bronchi) of cold air created by air-conditioners and dryness created by heating units and to allow a wearer to keep comfortable over a long time, as during sleep. SOLUTION: This protective clothing comprises a pile fabric of cotton or natural fibers with embroidery 2 made thereon by shearing or by use of a special sewing machine to form three-dimensional indentations, with snaps 3 or Velcro tapes (trademark) attached to both ends. The protective clothing is wound around a wearer's neck and fastened in the form of a ring. Even if the wearer frequently tosses about during sleep, the clothing will not unfasten, thus warming the wearer's neck over a long time, and protecting the wearer's throat and nose against dryness to prevent coughs and phlegm and keep the wearer from catching a cold.
