Iodide ions are precipitated there onto mercury electrode surface at positive electrode potential. Volt-ohmmetric dependence is measured by changing mercury electrode potential toward its zero value and iodine amount is judged of from volt-ohmmetric dependence. Such procedure allows determining iodine concentrations from a few tens of mcg to several tens of mg per 1 kg of organic material.
