PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance assemblability, and to reduce costs. SOLUTION: In this air bag device 10, holding claws 42 are formed in a plate bag holder 32 for storing a bag body 28, a flange part 50 of an inflator 48 is pressfitted in the holding claws 42 from anti-occupant side to assemble the inflator 48 to the plate bag holder 32. An abutting member 60 is provided in a core metal 18 of a steering wheel 12 opposed to the inflator 48 where the inflator 48 is pressfitted in the claws 42 and keep its fitted condition by bringing the abutting member 60 into contact with the inflator 48 to impede movement of the inflator 48 to the anti-occupant side even when the bag body 28 is inflation-developed to apply pressing force to the anti-occupant side. Therefore, the inflator 48 is held in the holder 32 even when a bolt and a nut are not used as in the prior art, the number of part items and assembling man-hours are reduced, and cost is reduced. |
