PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily restrain vertical-directional bending vibration of a chassis trame in a vehicle. SOLUTION: In this damping device, a rear end part of a stay 4 extended longitudinally is pivoted to a front end part of a chassis frame 1 in a vehicle, and a bumper 6 is supported onto a front end part of the stay 4. A characteristic frequency determined by a torsion spring constant of a rubber plate pressure bonded between the chassis frame 1 and the stay 4, a length L from a pivotal point of the stay 4 rear end part to a bumper 6 supporting point of the stay 4 front end part, and a mass of the bumper 6 is set to be coincided with a vertical-directional resonance frequqncy of the whole chassis frame 1.
