PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a glass with a functional film capable of reducing the amount of recessed deformation at a non-film side and preventing the occurrence of strain of transparent image by coating a glass substrate with a coating solution for forming a functional film by a wet method, calcining the coated film, printing an electroconductive line on a part of the surface of the functional film and baking the film at a temperature higher than the calcination temperature. SOLUTION: A coating solution for forming a functional film is applied to a glass substrate by a wet method. The coating solution is preferably obtained, for example, by dissolving an alkoxide, etc., containing a metal such as Si, etc., in a solvent such as methanol, etc., and optionally compounding a subsidiary raw material such as colorant, metal salt, etc. Then the film is calcined at 550-620 deg.C to form a functional film composed of a metal oxide such as SiO2, etc. Then a line is printed by a paste of a metal such as silver, etc., on a part of the surface of the functional film and baked at 600-670 deg.C higher than the calcination temperature to form an electroconductive line. Consequently a recess amount (a) formed on a non-film side of the glass of the printed part of the electroconductive line is <=1μm.
