PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct drawing type lithographic original plate for an ink jet recording system which enables printing of a large number of sheets of clear image print. SOLUTION: In a direct drawing type lithographic original plate which has an image receiving layer on a water-resistant substrate and wherein an image is formed on the image receiving layer by an electrostatic ink jet system using oil-based ink, the water-resistant substrate has a resin coated layer at least on the opposite side to the image receiving layer. This resin coated layer is constituted of a mixture containing 10-90 mass % of a low-density polyethylene having a density of 0.930 g/ml and a melt index of 1.0-30.0 g/10 min. and 10-90 mass % of a high-density polyethylene having a density 0.940-0.970 g/ml and a melt index of 1.0-30.0 g/10 min., and the Bekk smoothness of the surface of the resin coated layer is 5-2000 sec/10 ml. The water-resistant substrate has a conductive layer having a specific electric resistance value of 1010Ω.cm or below, on the surface on the side of the image receiving layer and on the end face on one side at least.
