PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the unevenness in the ink permeability, and improve the image quality and the adhesion with a head by forming a master for heat-sensitive stencil printing of a thermoplastic resin film and a porous resin film having a value of a surface smoothness measured by an ohken method, which is in a specified range. SOLUTION: A master for heat-sensitive stencil printing is made by laminating a thermoplastic resin film and a porous resin film of which the surface smoothness measured by an ohken method is 15 to 250 sec. For the master for heat-sensitive stencil printing, a hardness of 5 to 50 mN is suitable, and the thickness of the thermoplastic resin film is preferably 0.5 to 10μm. Also, the deposit of the porous resin film is preferably 0.5 to 25 g/m2, and the density of the porous resin film is preferably 0.01 to 1 g/cm3 respectively. The number average pore diameter of the porous resin film, which is a large factor to affect the smoothness of the porous resin film and the permeability of an ink, is generally 10 to 50μm, and preferably 10 to 30μm. When the pore diameter exceeds these ranges, the printing quality decreases.
