A rotatable or stationary grinding disk is mounted on afixing device is comprised of two parts consisting of a body (1) and an exchangeable adapter fitted with a grinding surface (2) and releasably connected to said grinding disk (3).The thickness of the grinding disk adapter (3) which is centered on the grinding disk (1) is at the most 50 % as thick as the body of the said grinding disk. Consequently a used grinding grinding disk adapter (3) can be easily changed, whereby the entire grinding disk no longer needs to be disposed of. This results in lower manufacturing and disposal costs because of the significantly smaller amount of materials used. |
