PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily produce a clay composition for working easy to mold, capable of hardening low-cost materials to practical strength without firing. SOLUTION: Water is added to a principal material containing clay and at least one water-soluble high-molecular-compound selected from the group consisting of biogum, a cellulose derivative and guar gum or its derivative, they are kneaded and a cement type solidifying material is added to the kneaded body and further kneaded. The resulting clay composition is hardened to practical strength only by allowing it to stand at room temperature after being molded in a desired shape.
